The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception is a Holy Day of Obligation; the normal Sunday Mass obligation also applies. This means that the faithful have several options to fulfill both of these obligations:

Option 1: Attend Mass for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception at Saint Christopher on Saturday, December 8 at 8:00am or 12:00pm, then attend Mass for the 2nd Sunday of Advent on Sunday, December 9 at 7:30am, 9:00am, or 11:00am

Option 2: Attend Mass for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception at Saint Christopher on Saturday, December 8 at 8:00am or 12:00pm, then attend Mass for the 2nd Sunday of Advent on Saturday, December 8 at 5:00pm (yes, you would attend two Masses in the same day!)

Option 3: Attend a Vigil Mass for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception at a different parish on Friday, December 7 (this Mass would have to start after 4pm to be a Vigil Mass), then attend Mass for the 2nd Sunday of Advent on Saturday, December 8 at 5:00pm or Sunday, December 9 at 7:30am, 9:00am, or 11:00am

If you have any questions about fulfilling your Mass obligation, please contact the office or Doug Ulaszek.
