Community Meal Volunteer Opportunity
Saint Christopher Parish and our KC council 11155 has committed to serving the community by staffing one of the meals each month. This is a great way to get involved and meet new people, many hands are needed and there is something for everyone. If you like to cook, the kitchen can use the help of someone with basic skills such as cutting vegetables. There are two dishwashing shifts, and many people are needed to help serve the food and help in the dining room with desserts and beverages. This is a great way to meet others, enjoy a good meal, and serve the community all at the same time.
What: The Badger Prairie Needs Network (BPNN) is hosting two community meals each month. This is a meal that is open to the community and brings together all members of the community including those who normally eat alone and those struggling to make ends meet. This meal brings people together in a common place where everyone can a enjoy free meal and community. The food is provided by Epic and BPNN. There are many entrée options along with desserts and beverages.
When: Meals are served on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. We will be staffing the third Saturday. Sept 17th is the next meal. Shift times vary (check signup below) food is served from 11:30 to 12:45.
