Grand Knight’s Report
I hope everyone is faring well with the drastic changes in temperatures and all the recent snow!
The recommendation process for Sir Knight Bill Paar as the Council’s Medallion candidate / Knight of Year and for Family of the Year (Matthew Krippner Family is completed. Thank you to those that submitted recommendations for Bill Paar and the Krippner Family. And thank you to Tony Grant for helping to coordinate the process. Thank you to Sir Knight Brad Stiner for his awesome work on the Council’s History book. Winners of the Medallion award, Family of the Year and History Book results will be revealed at the KC State Convention in late April
Please welcome our 2 newest Knights that transferred into our Council: Stephen Zipp and Andrew McDonough.

Thank you to all the Knights and their families in our Council for all the work that you and your families do for both the Parish and the Community! If you know of a Knight or family to be recognized, please let me or one of the other Officers know.
I would like to share the following “Thank you’;s that the Council received from its works of service and donations:
- Catholic Multicultural Center for a $300 donation
- Donation will be used to support such as programs as the free meal program, education courses and culinary creations job training program
- St. Coletta for a $327.45 donation
- Donation will be used to continue to provide hundreds of individuals with a disability with vital services and give them the opportunity to live a life full of compassion, dignity and respect.
Thank you to Bill Cassell for coordinating the January 27 Charity Pancake Breakfast fundraiser and to all the volunteers that helped out with fundraiser event. Thought this fundraiser event, $626 was raised and will be donated to charity.

Before I close out the Grand Knight’s Report, I would like to share a Spiritual Reflection with you that was published in the Tribune Democrat newspaper in my home town of Johnstown, PA. I will continue share Spiritual Reflections in future Grand Knight reports.
Ten Tips for a Better Life in the New Year
Whether you stuck with you News Year’s resolutions on lapse on them, there are many simple and easy ways to improve your life in this New Year. Here a ten tips that will make your life happier and healthier this year:
- Smile more, even when you don’t feel like it
- Do something nice for someone every day
- Start and end your day by remembering that you have to be thankful for and thank God for it
- Protect your health – it’s your most cherished asset
- Save something for a rainy day; you’ll be glad you did when you need it
- Learn something new every day; knowledge is power
- Exercise every day, even if it’s only going for a short walk
- Cultivate your friendships and remember that friendships don’t grow in isolation
- Cultivate better relationships with your family
- Most importantly: Cultivate a good relationship with God; pray and read scripture daily

Tootsie Roll Drive- The Tootsie Roll Drive for April needs a chair person!! Please concider chairing this drive for those with intellectual disabilities!
