Greetings Brother Knights,
Grand Knight’s Report
August 12th is our founder Fr. McGivney’s birthday. In honor of his birthday the 5:00 p.m. mass will be said in his remembrance.
Due to the severe weather we had to cancel our July Council meeting at Tom Kretchman’s airfield. We are rescheduling for August 23rd. Again all family members are invited to attend so I hope to see many of you there to enjoy good food and friendship. All food and beverages will be provided so please RSVP to me if you are able to attend by August 20th so we can plan accordingly. We are also hoping to again have airplane rides.
RSVP to: 845-9253 or claude@chorus.net.
If there is anyone that you know that may be interesting in becoming a Knight, please feel free to bring them along to this event. Please say an extra prayer for “good weather!
We are holding our regular council meeting on August 17th. No business at this event, just enjoy.
There is no Community Meal on Sept. 2nd due to the Labor Day holiday weekend. We are asking instead for Knights to help out with the Flags for Food program on Sept. 4th.
We are now putting our previous History Books in the newly set up Parish Library. If you know of anyone that may be interesting in becoming a Knight the books are available to show the activities and events that we are involved in.
We will again be in need of volunteers for the brat/food stands that are set up during Ironman, Sept. 10 on the St. Andrew’s Parish Grounds. This is a fund raising event for our council with set up starting about 6:30 a.m. and going until about 3:00 p.m. We will also need volunteers to assist with the football, soccer, and basketball contests.
September 25th is the Middleton KC’s Golf Outing at Pleasant View Golf Course. This is a Best Ball Scramble with a cost of $75/person. This includes, golf, cart, prizes and food. Last year we had 2 foursomes. Please let me know if you are interested in participating.

Food for Thought:
Today, I want to address the growth of the Order. Membership growth is the fuel that keeps this great fraternal engine running. All of our charitable works at the council, state, national and international level are thanks to our hard-working members. And more members equals more charity. Take time to ask a friend to join and be part of Your Great Council. The Council’s Future is in Your Hands!
Have a Blessed Month
