The Council of Catholic Women (CCW) held a Baby Jesus Shower on Tuesday, February 8 with Mass at 5:30 pm and dinner following at 6:30 pm. Donations of baby items and cash were accepted. The donations were given to the Women’s Care Center, a pro-life clinic in Madison that cares for the lives of mothers, fathers and their children, born and pre-born. The dinner was catered by J L Richards, Oregon, WI. Musical entertainment was provided by Scott, Jeana and Hope Archer. Music and songs were enjoyed by all. The decorating theme was St. Valentine’s Day. Thank you to all who set up, cleaned up, picked up door prizes, decorated, took reservations, and helped in any manner. The upcoming West Dane Vicariate Spring Meeting will be on April 26, 2016 at Holy Mother of Consolation Parish in Oregon. Further info will be announced in upcoming bulletins.

The CCW recently hosted the Soup Supper on Friday, February 19 and a Craft & Bake Sale on March 13 & 14. The scholarship committee will be meeting soon to set up the guidelines for the annual scholarships that the CCW provides. More details will be provided in future bulletins.

The CCW craft ladies are continuing to make items for the Annual Bazaar and for other occasions during the year. There are regular meetings held the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 9:00 am throughout the year to discuss upcoming activities and needs with which we can assist. All women 18 years of age and older are considered members of the Council of Catholic Women. Please feel free to attend our meetings and to help with various projects throughout the year. Some of the things we help with are the funeral luncheons, Soup Suppers, scholarships, pro-life work, and other needs. The next two meetings are scheduled for April 12 and May 10.
